Day 1 in Nova Scotia -- driving from Yarmouth to Truro.
Annapolis Tidal Generating Station, North America's only tidal power plant on the Bay of Fundy where the tides rise and fall up to 50 feet twice a day.

Gran-Pre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that commorates the culture and forced deportations of the Acadian people during the French Indian Wars. The Acadians built dikes to claim the land from the Bay of Fundy.  The results are fertile farmland and a pastoral landscape. At the time of their removal, all buildings and structures were burnt to the ground so they would have nothing to return to should they try.
